Hi! I'm Amy Riordan.Â
Free to Be Me Coaching is the overflow of what God has done (and continues to do) in my heart and life.Â
As long as I can remember, I have had a passion for helping others. This only increased when Jesus began healing my own heart, helping me break free from fear and some strongholds that I felt incredible shame about.
I spent many years of my life trying to numb and shove down the pain in my heart, and I didn’t know how to talk to anyone about it, including God.
I started discovering intimacy with Jesus, and this was a huge turning point for me. Pursuing a deeper and more transparent relationship with Him was scary and intimidating, but I finally started to realize that He wanted all of me–not just a superficial version of me. He has healed my heart so much since then (and continues to!).
Years later, I started to realize that many of the expectations I had for myself, and the intense pressure I was putting on myself was not at all congruent with who God created me to be.Â
It turns out that I was unknowingly trying to be someone that I wasn't. (No wonder I felt so depleted and frustrated!)
As I continue on this journey, I am finding more freedom, healing, and so much more joy. I have also found that when I am embracing who I truly am, I am much more effective in what Jesus has called me to do. Â
While I am a certified life coach, I also have a bachelor’s degree in social work and am licensed through the National Christian Counselors Association as a pastoral counselor.Â
In addition to coaching, I am also the founder of Walking in Freedom Ministries, a ministry for women wrestling with their sexuality and/or sexual strongholds.Â
I live in Pennsylvania with my husband and two teenagers and can often be found taking pictures outdoors, reading, spending time with friends and family, and camping in the summer.Â
